The annual Mindshop Excellence Program was held in Bendigo last week.
The platform is essentially a one week employer-hosted work experience program where students have the opportunity to act as a consultancy team in order to solve a real issue that the company is facing. This year, the City of Greater Bendigo was the host company.
Keely O’Brien, Meg Frederick and Emily Brown took the opportunity to work with staff at the Bendigo Council to devise strategies around a set of problems that the council have been facing.
All students involved in the Mindshop Excellence Program are trained in Mindshop personal and business problem solving tools and are shown how to apply the tools to the issue at hand.
Students must then report back to the company, the school and their parents on their final day of the program. This collaborative effort has seen some amazing solutions to many hundreds of issues.
Our Eaglehawk team presented a fantastic PowerPoint presentation in an organised and professional manner – they certainly represented the school well and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
