Eaglehawk Secondary College has a strong tradition in the area of Performing Arts.

Music

All instruments are offered for tuition at reasonable costing for families. We offer the following instruments for tuition- flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe and bassoon. Trumpet trombone, French horn and tuba. Violin, viola and cello, Guitar- all styles electric bass and acoustic and drums. The school supports the development of student ensembles and rock bands and completes a professionally produced CD each year. The school participates in community events and locally run music events such as Music week and Dahlia and Arts.

Drama

As well as having drama as a curriculum subject, the school has a wider interest in the Performing Arts in extra curricula activities. The school has an annual activity that can range from full scale musical productions, rock eisteddfod entries, dance festivals and one act play festivals. The school has recently refurbished the Performing Arts area into a black box style theatre and small conference area.

The staff at Eaglehawk are dedicated to broadening the Performing Arts to introduce Media and technology studies in their curriculum. We encourage students to become leaders in the performing arts, running their own rehearsals and concerts and encourage them to interact directly with the community in the public sharing of all Performing Arts activities and subsequent joining of community run drama and music groups.
