Artists in Schools Program with sculptor Yvonne George

Under the direction of sculptor Yvonne George, students will create a three dimensional sculpture which will be the centre piece of the piazza or school yard and a starting point for subsequent community projects including our indigenous community.

The Eaglehawk "Soaring High" emblem is a recognisable and symbolic quality of Eaglehawk students.  Through this project, students and the wider community will be able to make a visual connection between sculpture and this artistic concept.  Yvonne George will be employed to work one day per week with the students who will be involved in the project from it's initial design stage through to the end of the project.

Yvonne George has a high profile as a full time professional sculptor within the Greater Bendigo Region as well as in Victoria and internationally.  She is a successful business woman marketing her own range of garden sculptures.  She is currently exhibiting internationally and has worked in Artist in Schools projects previously.
