PBL Spaghetti & Marshmallow Bridge Challenge

Lester and Walker PBL classes took on a design thinking challenge where they were required to construct a bridge out of spaghetti and marshmallow’s. The bridge had to meet strict design requirements. These were: the bridge had to be two spaghetti sticks in length, 10 centimetres in height and had to support the weight on one matchbox car. They had two PBL sessions in which to design, test and complete the ‘build’. Students had a great time designing and experimenting with how to build a construction that could stand, support and meet the requirements.
