On Friday August 30th our student leaders were extremely privileged to receive expert advice from international business coach and motivational speaker, Leigh Farnell.

Leigh provided a 70 minute seminar in the PAC, teaching the students how to set goals, turn problems into projects, how to make the school better and how to empower themselves and others around them.

Leigh is an ex ESC student and previous Walker house captain. Due to his strong connection to the school and community, and the pride he holds for Eaglehawk Secondary College, he offered his services completely free of charge and

also gave students 60 days access to his online mentoring program all of which would typically be in the thousands if it weren’t for his generosity.

This is the second year in a row Leigh has provided his services and I am very proud of the relationship I have managed to develop with Leigh. Most importantly, the students have been extremely grateful, with several of them offering unprompted gratitude and kind words at various intervals prior to Leigh’s departure on Friday.

Leigh was also over the moon with the gift we presented to him with his name on the back. I don’t think he’s taken it off yet. Images are from both 2018 and 2019.
