It is my privilege to lead our college, a role I have proudly held for the past two and a half years. During this time, we have implemented a range of significant improvements to strengthen our learning, teaching and wellbeing programs. These changes reflect our commitment to providing a high-quality education in a supportive and inclusive environment.
We offer a rich and engaging academic program, with a wide range of elective subjects complementing our core curriculum of English, Mathematics, Science and Humanities. Throughout their journey from Year 7 to Year 10, our students are carefully prepared for their next steps—whether that be transitioning to Bendigo Senior Secondary College, pursuing further education, or entering the workforce.
Our extensive camps program is a valued part of the student experience, promoting independence, resilience and connection. Students participate in a structured sequence of camps, including Lady Northcote in Year 7, Howqua in Year 8, Phillip Island in Year 9, and a range of Year 10 opportunities such as Adelaide, Canberra and the Falls Creek Ski Camp.
We are proud to offer a variety of extension and enrichment opportunities, including the Victorian High Achievers Program and the GOOD-AS program, which recognises students for outstanding academic performance, commitment and high attendance. At the same time, we provide targeted support programs such as GROW and Connect, designed to build students’ confidence in their learning and strengthen their connection to school.
As Principal, I genuinely love my role. I feel fortunate to work alongside a caring and dedicated staff who are deeply committed to supporting every student to succeed. Together, we strive to create a positive and engaging school community where all students can thrive. I am lucky to work in and be part of such a supportive community as Eaglehawk, working with our amazing young people every day.
