My name is Richelle Hollis and I am delighted to have accepted the
Principal role at Eaglehawk Secondary College. I have worked in Bendigo
schools my entire career and am now excited to commence working at
Eaglehawk. I have been Assistant Principal for eleven years at Crusoe
College in Bendigo and was a leading teacher at Crusoe College prior to
that for four years. During my time at Crusoe College I have also
undertaken extended acting principal appointments at Rochester
Secondary College in 2022 and at Castlemaine Primary School in 2021,
providing me with the necessary background and experience to now take on this exciting role at Eaglehawk Secondary College.
My key area of focus as Assistant Principal has been to lead the Learning
and Teaching program at the college, and I have been instrumental in
promoting a positive college culture and image in the wider Bendigo
community. I am passionate about working with young adolescents to
support them in their journey through education and beyond. Prior to
working at Crusoe College, I taught German and Australian History at
Bendigo Senior Secondary College for 11 years. I am a passionate
teacher of German and have just completed a two week course in Berlin
on learning and teaching strategies to implement when teaching
foreign languages. On a personal level, I live in Bendigo with my
husband and two children. We enjoy travelling, spending time with
family and friends and supporting our local footy club.
I look forward to commencing at Eaglehawk Secondary College next
term and working with all members of the college and broader
Eaglehawk community.
Richelle Hollis
